While there are specific warnings (see below), I appreciate a heads up all the time, so I can follow my routine(s) so it doesn't become nightmare fuel. That is my general concern with horror/gore. Where we write it can be safe, my nightmares extremely less so.
EXPLICIT SEX: Generally no. Once I have gotten to know & trust a writer, if it is plot/character development related, I will consider it.

On the other hand, the amount she will do for people if they just ask is sometimes questionable for judgment. So it is. Bullying/such treatment of others often gets the "you get to deal with me" response.
